My Fashion Week’s Favourite, Kaviar Gauche

One thing I do not want to keep from you from Berlin fashion week is the Fall/ Winter collection from one of my favourite Berlin labels, Kaviar Gauche. Contrasts of black and white, simplicity and ostentatious ornaments dominated their purely beautiful collection. Feminine cuts, including long transparent chiffon skirts, met femme fatal like material mixes, including voluminous decorated shoulder pads or skirts in contrast to the simple and fluent fabrics. Next to the dominating colours black and white, a few light yellow pieces, in transparent fabrics, lit up the collection.
I just fell in love with every single piece…

Berlin Fashion Week

Berlin Fashion Week and with it one week of fresh faces, inspiring personalities, best dressed people next to bizarre individuals, and amazing fashion shows, is over now.

Our days were packed but all in all we spent an awesome fashionable week in Berlin. Next to the two fairs, Premium and Bread & Butter, we were very happy to be part of several fashion shows as well. Julia went to Schumacher, whereas I was so glad to see amongst two other shows, the Marcel Ostertag Fall/Winter 2012 collection.

Our short resume from one week with thousands of impressions, doubtless we will not have to part with leather, transparent fabrics, or burgundy, grey, black colours next winter season.
Moreover, the mix of different fabrics as well as different patterns will last next winter.

    Here are some Impressions <3

Marcel Ostertag
The show from Marcel Ostertag was dominated by metallic, golden dresses as well as fringes and small oriental patterns. Traditionally, Marcel Ostertag himself presented the last outfit, of course Model-like, in high heels.

Minx
The show from Minx by Eva Lutz was dominated by leo prints, brownish, camel colours, with pieces of red and leather. In her evening collection the designer worked with fabric mixtures of velvet or leather combined with transparent fabrics, or like my favourite dress, leather in combination with tulle.

Schumacher

A visit to the japanese Fashionmuseum was the inspiration for Dorothee Schumacher's FW 12/13 Collection. Here she was able to look at the original sketches from Madame Grès.
Impressed by the timeless beauty and elegance  of the dresses from the 30 s and 40 s she created a very feminine and glamourous collection.
She used a lot of different materials: Leather, Knit, Fur, Silk and Metalic materials.
The Collection is very multifaceted with a lot of details and Retro charm.

Powerful Colours vs Pastel Shades

In the middle of all the Sales chaos, the very first Spring Collection items have arrived at the Stores.
And as we still don’t have enough clothes to wear for Berlin Fashion Week next week, it is about time to go shopping and to have a look what the spring Collections have to offer.
Next to shades in powerful orange, red or blue, we already know from last year, this year pastel colours are must haves in Spring.
So it is not really a surprise we fell in love with the new colours while shopping at, Style the Brandstore in Cologne, this
time!

Yeeaaahh.. Weekend is coming up.
We wish you an adventurous Friday night.

Hypnotized

by the art of photography of Sandor Lubbe

Sandor Lubbe is the founder, Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Zoo Magazine. While reading the current Issue of the magazine, Lubbe’s own editorial Beauty Rest immediately caught my attention. His provocative, eccentric and edgy photos instantly hypnotize the reader through reflecting the erotic, despicable, exciting atmosphere that must have taken place at the shoot itself. However, Lubbe is not only an extraordinary photographer himself, he also always strives for new photographic talents and avant-gardist personalities he supports within the concept of Zoo Magazine. Reading the current issue, including inspiring editorials like Caitlin by Greta Ilieva or Mini by Bryan Adams, is worth it.

Blog to Watch - STREETFSN

One of my favorite blogs I follow for about half year now and I really want to share with those of you, who don't know it yet is STREETFSN.
STREETFSN is a blog simply concentrating on fashion photography. However, it is not as simple as it might look at the very first moment. Each single photograph is in my opinion art and inspires me again and again anew. I simply love the photographer's eye for details and his way to catch special fashion moments and to hold the atmosphere of these moments in his pictures for all of us. Great colors, catching moods, and awesome outfits in all pictures.
In the following you can see some of his photographs from 2011. A look at his blog is really worth it
